Innovative laser labels a first for organic producers
Organic producers forced to find innovative alternatives to labelling and packaging for fruit separation are leading the way in new technology adaptation.
From next month, organic avocados from Googa Farms in QLD will be the first fruit in Australia ever to be labelled with light laser technology.
The light laser machine – the only one of its kind in Australia – uses natural light technology to remove a layer of pigment from fresh produce, etching a fine permanent mark that cannot be tampered with or swapped for conventional product stickers in-store.
