Australia is renowned for some of the world’s greatest grape wines, and although the tropics is not the climate for growing grapes, this has not stopped the avid wine-maker making some delightful wines from the luscious exotic fruits grown in the region. <\/span><\/p>\n

Now Tropical North Queensland is the centre for exotic fruit wines.  Nowhere else in the world will you find as many commercial fruit wineries together in one area. <\/span><\/p>\n

These exotic flavours and aromas of tropical fruits are what a grape winemaker strive for in their making; mango, lychee, dragonfruit, pineapple, banana, jaboticaba, davidson plum.<\/span><\/p>\n

Other beverages include spirits and liqueurs of the exotic tropical flavours, spring and rainfall waters, and a fabulous boutique eco-friendly brewery.<\/span><\/p>\n

Located 20 minutes north of Port Douglas we make award winning wines from Tropical Fruits.  No this does not mean they are sweet and sticky.  They range from very dry wines to ports. We make single-fruit wines, not blends. We grow most of the fruits in the organic way and in our own orchard. The flavour of the fruit is retained in the wines unlike most grape wines where the flavour of the fruit is lost in the fermenting process.
